Description
Red fox set came to our factory via wonderful collaboration with artist Jackie Morris and Spell Songs – eight visionary musicians, a musical response to The Lost Words by Jackie Morris and Robert Macfarlane. They are singing nature back to life through the power of poetry, art and magic. Jackie illustrated the ‘sleeve-notes’ that accompany the cd of magical spells. And we are proud to make paints for Jackie and her foxes for a unique live-streamed concert from the iconic Hintze Hall at London’s Natural History Museum, raising funds for the Urban Nature Project. We are very proud to be part of this project that corresponds to our worldview of living in nature, cherishing it, and experiencing unconditional mutual love for Mother Earth.
Thank you Jackie for these kind words: “These paints, when woken with water, sing such a beautiful and wild song. They are a joy to use.” All foxes are Jackie Morris artwork.
This beautiful red fox set consists or 6 watercolor half-pans in a tin with a hinged lid. Colors used by Jackie to paint her magical foxes:
- Gold Ochre
- Rose Ashes
- Gerda’s pink
- English Red
- Indigo (we will choose one of our indigos. Please specify if you prefer particular indigo)
- Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan
Mixes nicely with other natural and human-made pigments. For best performance add a few drops of water some minutes before starting to work with it. It will reactivate the pigment and will be more fluid.
All our watercolors are handmade from pigment or pigment mixes, binders, and essential oils as conservative. Binder is made by ourselves from gum arabic, natural honey, and water. Our watercolors have a flowery scent, with lemongrass as the top note and sandalwood in the base note.
