Slate Grey. Pigment number n/a, single pigment half-pan watercolor. Fits in all palettes designed for half-pans.

Hello, I am Slate gray, as old as mud and volcanic ash. Under certain pressure, I turn into a metamorphic rock and you have used me covering your roofs for centuries. I have seen your great-grandfather crying and your great-great-grandmother dancing. I have seen you being born and falling in love. I have seen your pure joy and your loneliness, your desires and fears. I have been shelter for your body, soul, and your dreams. And sometimes I share this with Matagot that might look like a cat or a dog or a fox but it is a home spirit living with you. And sometimes I am waiting for the rain to cry all this out. Oh yes. And now, at this phase of my endless life, I am your watercolor pigment, finely mixed up for contemporary feel. Ready to be with you again.

Slate Grey is a part of our French collection – environment and human-friendly contemporary pigment collection.

Mixes nicely with other natural and human-made pigments. For best performance add a few drops of water some minutes before starting to work with it. It will reactivate the pigment and will be more fluid.

All our watercolors are handmade from pigment or pigment mixes, binders, and essential oils as conservative. Binder is made by ourselves from gum arabic, natural honey, and water. Our watercolors have a flowery scent, with lemongrass as top note and sandalwood in the base note.
