Eleni’s spring garden palette is a collaboration between DeepDeepLight and our ambassador, amazing artist and storyteller Lily Moon. These are 2 spring palettes – one for the morning garden and the other for the night garden. They beautifully complement each other and are self-sufficient as separate palettes as well. Here is what Lily says about Eleni’s spring garden :

“Months ago she had labored with the earth. Digging, planting, caring deeply… the image of what she wanted to create was vivid in her mind’s eye and the wildness and surging beauty of that vision sustained her when her knees hurt, when her arms ached, when the rain poured down. This patch of earth was both her canvas and her sanctuary. Now, light footed, she trod the stone path, spring swallows soaring above, the April morning air, cool and crisp on her face, her eyes beaming, her smile as wide as the love nature inspired within her. A sea of flowers and greenery lay before her, a tapestry she had woven, now alive and fragrant: daffodils, freesias, tulips, daisies, cyclamens, lavender, sweet basil, anemones of all hues and sizes, hydrangeas, rununculus, crocuses, lilies, irises and peonies…She crouched down to inhale the sweet scents and she was once more, whole again…

Eleni’s garden lives on in this palette, a homage to her love for that precious piece of earth that was part of her soul.”

Mixes nicely with other natural and human-made pigments. For best performance add a few drops of water some minutes before starting to work with it. It will reactivate the pigment and will be more fluid.

All our watercolors are handmade from pigment or pigment mixes, binders, and essential oils as conservative. The binder is made by ourselves from gum arabic, natural honey or glycerine, and water. Our watercolors have a flowery scent, with lemongrass as the top note and sandalwood as the base note
