Autumn forever

Autumn Forever is a palette curated by our ambassador Kristiana Dorosconoka, or Kriksis (you can find her at kriksis.art and youtube) – an amazing illustrator and storyteller with a love for autumn palette in all seasons. Here is what she says about her palette:

Autumn is my favourite season, it’s the celebration of golden hours, fresh air, deep shadows, and cosy living. When you feel the Autumn season is gone, after a brief pause, it starts again on the other side of the world. The colours I picked for this palette could be used to paint Autumn, or if you enjoy using warm/ muted colours, this could be a lovely choice for other subject matters like cosy indoors, birds, flowers, and landscapes. I love granulating watercolours, so I tried to include some which could bring a little magic to a page. This set allows you to mix and explore as well as use colours as they are. There are primary, secondary colours with a little twist, as well as 2 browns, 1 grey, and my soul colour -Butterfly.

• BURNT SIENNA (English Oak leaves)
• BUTTERFLY (Lichen and cold breath in the air)
• CAPTAIN’S GREY (soil)

• TUFF VIOLET GREY (Scotts Pine shadows in forest)
• OAKMOSS (distant smoke and evergreen)
• JAY BLUE (quiet nights)
• GREY OCHRE (rain and clouds)

Mixes nicely with other natural and human-made pigments. For best performance add a few drops of water some minutes before starting to work with it. It will reactivate the pigment and will be more fluid.

All our watercolors are handmade from pigment or pigment mixes, binders, and essential oils as conservative. Binder is made by ourselves from gum arabic, natural honey, and water. Our watercolors have a flowery scent, with lemongrass as top note and sandalwood in the base note.
