Ambassador Palette

Over the years we have worked with our dear ambassadors and co-created beautiful shades of colors they were longing for. Here we have collected all of them in a set, in the order they appeared in the DeepDeepLight collection. We encourage you to follow them – these souls have a deep relationship with watercolors and they share their love story with the world.

Masha’s Green – our dear friend and natural ambassador Masha Zurikova asked us to make a green that she could use in early spring: “so bright eyes hurt.”

Bramble – once we talked with Iris Hill about flowers and life, she said, “I had pancakes last Sunday, and when I was looking at all the berry jams, they have such a special color – I wish you had some of those.”

Midori – our godmother, watercolor whisperer Kateri Ewing, asked us to make this “exquisite grey-green with flocculating black particles” to make her soul happy. Kateri is also the one behind the idea of this palette :).

Starry Night is a color by the amazing Natasha Newton, made to accompany her Whatever the Weather palette.

Waterlily is a color we made together with our wonderful storyteller ambassador Lily Moon, living by the sea in her waterlily color.

Rose Marrakesh is a dream of our incredibly wild India Flint, with Latvian roots, now living in Australia, with Marrakesh in her heart.

All these colors were a dream, a craving, a soul’s cry – and we responded. This utterly powerful palette is ready to travel to your studio.

The palette of 6 half pans comes in a tin for 6. Please let us know if you would like a different tin size. Half pans also fit other standard watercolor palettes.

These colors mix nicely with other natural and human-made pigments. For best performance, add a few drops of water a few minutes before starting to work with them. This will reactivate the pigment and make it more fluid.

All our watercolors are handmade from pigment or pigment mixes, binders, and essential oils as a preservative. The binder is made by ourselves from gum arabic, natural honey, glycerine, and water. Our watercolors have a flowery scent, with lemongrass as the top note and sandalwood as the base note.
