Vivianite. Single pigment (pigment number n/a) in half-pan watercolor. Fits in all palettes designed for half-pans.
I am a stone pigment which means I am very old and experienced. I laid silently waiting for my turn and was discovered by JG Vivian, that’s why my name is so beautiful.
Artists have been looking for blue pigments since ever. Mainly because of the very expensive Lapis Lazuli, but I think just because blue is so beautiful. Especially grey greenish-blue. As eyes of lovely people in the factory.
Although I was discovered in England, in St.Agnes, Cornwall, I come from Russia. And we all know how deep hearts all Russians have. So I am here to heal your heart wounds old and new. I bring gentleness and awareness and compassion to yourself and others. I am a stone of peace and love. I take away the feeling of being uncomfortable in my own skin.
Mixes nicely with other natural and human-made pigments. For best performance add a few drops of water some minutes before starting to work with it. It will reactivate the pigment and will be more fluid.
All our watercolors are handmade from pigment or pigment mixes, binders, and essential oils as conservative. Binder is made by ourselves from gum arabic, natural honey, and water. Our watercolors have a flowery scent, with lemongrass as a top note and sandalwood in the base note.
