Nature’s greens

Welcome to our green world! We have heard hundred times – don’t use green straight from the pan, it is not natural. Here is our story. We paint nature and plants a lot. And to be honest, we have become lazy in mixing colors while painting. It’s way easier for us to mix just once on the paint mixing slab and pour it into half-pans. So here are the greens that we carry around every day. Even to the seaside. Of course, we mix a bit – mostly on paper, “growing” color of the flower from the green. And we add a bit of ochre or indigo or some red here and there. But yes. We use greens straight from the pan. The luxury of having our own watercolor factory.

  • bentgrass (mustard yellowish-green) from the Baltic Meadow set
  • meadow green (yellow-green with chrome oxide granulation) from the Baltic Meadow set

All our watercolors mix nicely with other natural and human-made pigments. For best performance add a few drops of water some minutes before starting to paint. It will reactivate the pigment and will be more fluid.

All our watercolors are handmade from pigment or pigment mixes, binders, and essential oils as conservative. Binder is made by ourselves from gum arabic, natural honey, and water. Our watercolors have a flowery scent, with lemongrass as the top note and sandalwood in the base note.
